We sponsored Cooking for the Kids 2026 with Overflowing Hands and I’m still thinking about it.
Spice Witch ended up in a few of the earlier rounds, which was already fun to see. But then they invited me to the finale, and two of my products were featured in the dishes.
That part was special.
Like, quietly special. Not loud. Just… seeing something you made show up in that kind of setting, handled with care.
But honestly, that wasn’t the point of the night.
The point was the kids.
Everything about the event is built around raising money to get healthy food to kids who need it, and to support families in a real, direct way. No fluff. Just making sure people are fed.
And you feel that when you’re there.
It’s not just a fancy dinner.
It’s chefs showing up with intention.
It’s a room full of people actually paying attention to why they’re there.
The food was incredible. Truly.
Six courses, thoughtful, creative, beautifully done.
And yes, Chef Kyle Fletcher and his team from Glasshouse Kitchen won, which made total sense.
But what stayed with me wasn’t who won or even what was on the plate.
It was the reminder that food does two things at once.
It can be elevated and beautiful.
And it can be essential.
And if this night helped get more good food to kids, to families, to people who need it most, then that’s the part that matters.
Grateful we got to be a small part of it.
This isn't your average chili honey. Spice Witch Hot Honey is real honey with a slow, building chili burn — bold, sticky, and built for the squeeze.
Real honey, real chili, no shortcuts — and a squeeze bottle made for the table, not the back of the pantry. The heat shows up after the sweet, so it works on everything from breakfast to a cheese board. Drizzle it, glaze with it, or eat it off the spoon; there's no wrong way to use it.
Hit a slice of hot pizza or a piece of fried chicken and thank us later. Drizzle it over a warm biscuit, swirl it into hot tea, glaze salmon or roasted carrots, or pour it across goat cheese before you spread it. Even better on a waffle when you want sweet heat.
Pro tip: Leave it on the counter so it doesn't get lost in the pantry. Or better yet, bring it to the table with you.
Small-batch. Made in Asheville with real ingredients and a little bit of magic.
