Hey Spice Witch Family,
As many of you know, on September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene brought unprecedented devastation to Asheville. Our town and the surrounding areas were hit hard, with entire communities lost and whole neighborhoods swept away. The damage is unimaginable, and the rising loss of life has only deepened the sorrow we feel every day.
Though I’m incredibly grateful that my home and office remain intact, Spice Witch is facing significant challenges. We've been without water and power for the past ten days, and the storm has wiped out our entire holiday market season. We’ve lost over $2,000 in product at several local retailers, and many of the shops that carry our products have suffered complete inventory losses.
Despite these hardships, we’re still standing, and with your help, we can continue to push forward.
Here’s how you can support Spice Witch through this difficult time:
1. Place an order or start a subscription:
We’ve restocked our inventory and have products ready to ship! Don’t miss our new Pumpkin Spice Honey, the perfect fall flavor. Subscriptions are a huge help to us right now and ensure you always have your favorite Spice Witch items on hand. Just click “Subscribe and Save” when adding products to your cart and enjoy our chili oils, crisps, or honeys delivered to your door every 1-3 months!
2. Buy a gift card:
Whether for yourself or a loved one, a gift card is an easy way to support us during this tough time—and with the holidays around the corner, it makes a thoughtful gift. Spice is truly a love language!
3. Make a donation:
If you’d like to help us rebuild, you can make a direct donation. Every bit goes toward replenishing lost inventory, rebuilding our operations, replacing equipment, and supporting our team. Your generosity will help keep Spice Witch alive as we recover.
If you're looking for another great way to support small local businesses in Asheville, there’s a fantastic resource at Explore Asheville. It’s a perfect option for your holiday gift shopping. Let’s help spread the joy of local flavors and treasures and have a “Very Asheville Christmas!”
In addition to supporting small businesses, please consider donating to these organizations helping our community rebuild:

World Central Kitchen is on the ground in Asheville, providing meals to families displaced by Hurricane Helene and first responders. You can donate here.
-

-
Bounty & Soul is continuing their mission to provide nutritious meals and fresh produce to those in need. With so many families facing food insecurity, their work is more vital than ever. You can donate here.
Supporting Spice Witch, other small local businesses, and these organizations will make a real difference in helping Asheville and Western North Carolina rebuild and recover.
Thank you for your kindness and unwavering support during this challenging time. Together, we will rise.
With love and gratitude,
