Celebrating a Spicy Year and Giving Back to Asheville’s Artists

What a year it’s been! Thanks to our amazing customers (that’s you, by the way), Spice Witch has had an incredible year of growth and success. We’ve stirred up kitchens across the country, bringing bold flavors to your tables and a little magic to your meals. And while we love spicing things up, we also love giving back to the community that inspires us.

This year, as part of the 1% initiative—which was created in response to the need for support in Asheville after the devastation of Hurricane Helene—we’re thrilled to be donating to some incredible local organizations. Our fearless founder, Sabrina—a true artist at heart (and occasional kitchen wizard)—has chosen to support Asheville’s creative community. Because let’s face it, art makes the world (and Asheville) a better place, and we’re all about keeping the spice of life alive.

After careful consideration, we’ve chosen to donate to the ArtsAVL Emergency Relief Grant. This program provides $500 stipends to Western North Carolina artists across all disciplines affected by Hurricane Helene. Managed by a trusted organization, ArtsAVL has the scale and resources to make a broad, meaningful impact, supporting many artists who make Asheville the vibrant cultural hub we love.

Why arts? Because Sabrina knows that creativity fuels community, and Asheville wouldn’t be Asheville without its vibrant art scene. Plus, let’s be real—supporting artists means more beautiful, funky, thought-provoking things in the world, and who doesn’t want that?

We couldn’t have done this without you. Every jar of chili crisp, infused honey, or bottle of spicy oil you’ve snagged has helped make this possible. So really, you’re part of this too. Give yourself a pat on the back, maybe even treat yourself to an extra drizzle of Spice Witch goodness tonight.
